Straight answers

The things people actually ask

How long is it?: Seventy-five minutes, and we finish when we say we will. Doors open thirty minutes early and there is decent coffee, free.
What do people wear?: Whatever they were already wearing. This is Austin.
Will anyone make me stand up or say my name?: No. We do not do that, ever. You can sit at the back, leave in the last song, and come back six times before anyone learns your name.
What happens with my kids?: Threshold Kids runs at every service for birth through fifth grade. You check them in, you get a code, nobody else can collect them. Every volunteer is background-checked and there are two adults in every room, always.
Is there an offering I have to take part in?: There is an offering. Guests should ignore it entirely — we say so out loud most weeks. Nothing is passed down the row.
What if I am not sure what I believe?: Then you are in good company, including on the staff. Nobody is going to corner you about it.
Is the building accessible?: Step-free throughout, accessible restrooms, reserved parking by the main door, and a hearing loop. Ask a host in a grey shirt for anything.

You park and someone says hello
Grey shirts are hosts. They will point you at coffee and kids check-in and then leave you alone.

Four songs
Loud. Some people sing, some stand with their arms folded, and both are completely normal here.

Thirty-five minutes of teaching
Out of the Bible, in plain English, with the hard bits left in rather than skipped.

Response and close
A song, a prayer, an offering guests should ignore, and out.

Coffee, if you want it
Plenty of people leave straight away. That is genuinely fine.
