Give
Money, goods, or two hours
All three are genuinely useful, and we would rather tell you which one is short this week than pretend they are equal.
Right now
What the shelves are short of
Drop-off is at the Ninth Street door, Tuesday to Thursday between nine and four. Please do not leave anything outside overnight — it gets taken or ruined, and then somebody has to clear it up.
Money
Where a dollar goes
We buy through the regional food bank, which turns one dollar into roughly four dollars of groceries. Giving money almost always goes further than giving cans — but bring the cans anyway if that is easier.
By cheque or in person
Made out to the church, posted or handed in at the office. No processing fee, which is about three per cent more in the tin.
Monthly
A standing order is what lets the pantry order stock in advance instead of buying week to week. Ask the office for the form.
If you use the pantry
Please do not give money. Several people have tried and we have sent it back. Come and eat on a Wednesday instead.
