Where the groups meet
Ten or twelve people, a passage, and coffee. You may visit one without joining it.
- Chapel Street Wednesday, 8pm The Isibors Mixed ages. The largest, and the easiest to join first.
- Bygrave Road Wednesday, 8pm Ruth & Colin Marsh Mostly over sixty. Finishes promptly at half nine.
- West End Wednesday, 7.30pm The Adeyinkas Families with young children. Noisy and unbothered by it.
- Station Road Thursday, 8pm Priya Solanki Twenties and thirties. Currently full — ask and we will start a ninth.
- Newnham Tuesday, 10am Margaret Hoyle Daytime, with a creche. Chiefly parents and retired members.
- Hinxworth Wednesday, 8pm The Bardens A car share runs from the chapel car park at ten to eight.
If none of those work, say so — the eighth group exists because three people said the same thing in the same month.
What a group is actually like
Somebody makes coffee. Somebody reads a passage — usually the one preached on the previous Sunday. Then people talk about it for forty minutes, badly and honestly, and often about something else entirely by the end.
Nobody is asked to read aloud, pray aloud, or know anything. Attendance is not registered and nobody rings you if you miss three weeks, though somebody may well ask how you are.
